Itinerary
Day 1 : Reach Srinagar-Pahalgam Transfer
Post-arrival to Srinagar airport, A drive to Pahalgam you start your journey towards Pahalgam. The drive will take you through Awantipora ruins where you can visit the famous saffron fields. We drive past the Awantipora and the Bijbehara village known as the breadbasket of Kashmir. We switch from the National Highway 1A at Khanabal to proceed towards Pahalgam through the second largest city Anantnag. Pahalgam is mainly known for the fantastic landscape, the beautiful scenery of green forests, clear water streams and pretty mountains. You will have a night stay in Pahalgam.
Day 2 : Second Day in Pahalgam
Enjoy beautiful sights from Valleys.
After having a morning breakfast, you can visit the famous Betaab valley gives heavenly pleasure girdled with mountain ranges and pine and deodar forests. You can visit the famous Aru valley that offers some fantastic scenery that has beautiful lakes, lush meadows and mountains. Chandanwari is the starting point for Amarnath yatra and is a popular hiking destination. You can also enjoy a horse ride to Baisaran meadows. Later in the evening, head back to the hotel in Pahalgam for night stay.
Day 3 : Transfer to Srinagar
After Breakfast in Hotel Transfer to Srinagar.On reaching the hotel, check-in formalities.After exploring Market in Srinagar you can proceed for dinner in Hotel and Overnightstay.
Day 4 : Srinagar Sightseen
We begin our day with morning breakfast and then go for Srinagar local sightseeing. You will proceed towards the world famous Mughal gardens, Cheshma Shahi (Royal Spring) and Shalimar that the Mughals build in the 16th century close to the banks of Lake Dal amidst the Srinagar city and Shankaracharya temple situated on a hillock offering sight to a magnificent portrait of the whole city. Visit the handloom centre famous for the world-reckoned Pashmina/ Shahtoosh shawls and carpets. Enjoy an overnight at the Hotel. Later, you can go for a Shikara ride.In evening came back to Hotel for Dinner and Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 5 : A drive to Sonamarg
A day at the ‘Meadow of Gold’
After Breakfast in Hotel Check-out and we start our day 5 with a drive towards Sonamarg. On the way to Sonamarg valley, you can enjoy watching the picturesque countryside - the snow-clad mountains, the green forests, the rolling hills, crystal clear streams of water and the vast rice fields. You will drive past the Kangan town which is the local market for the residents, and Marmar which is known for its trout field. We will descend from our vehicles at Gagangir, a favorite tourist spot that is wrapped with snow-capped mountains from all the sides. We take a 3-hour walk or cab/horseback ride in Sonamarg to the Thajiwas glacier, a significant attraction in Sonamarg for its beautiful meadows. On returning, we visit the local market for some snacks and for exploring the way local people spend their life there.In evening head back to your Hotel in Sonamarg finish your check -Inn Formalities overnight stay and dinner in Sonamarg.
Day 6 : Transfer To Kargil Via Sonmarg
After breakfast drive to Kargil via Sonamarg, One of the most beautiful drives from Srinagar to Leh.Fascinating view of granite colour soil rocks, drive down through kangaroo curves to Kargil. After reaching Kargil explore Market of Kargil and Overnight Stay at Kargil.
Day 7 :Kargil -Leh
After breakfast drive to Leh enroute visiting Lamayuru, Belongs to Drigung Kagyu sect of Buddhism often known as the Red Hat sect of Tibetan Buddhism. The oldest structure in Lamayuru is the Singey Lhakhang built by the founder of Alchi Lotsava Rinchen Zangpo in 11th century. After visiting Lamayuru we proceed further to Alchi monastery famous for its wall painting/frescos of 1000 years old.Upon arrival in Leh you will met our representative and check in hotel for overnight stay at hotel.
Day 8 :Leh Sightseen
After breakfast visit to Hemis Monastery, Thicksey Monastery, Shey Palace, Rancho school, and Sindhu ghat then drive back to Hotel for Night Stay.
Day 9 : Leh to Pangong Lake (06 Hours Approx.)
After an early breakfast leave for Pangong Lake through Chang la pass 5486 Mtrs. Pangong Lake, situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m). A long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly six to seven kilometer at its widest point and over 130km long, it is bisected by the international border between India and China. A few years back the government decided to open it to tourists though the lake and its surrounding is under army surveillance Enjoy the landscape in the back to Leh Night stay at hotel.
Day 10 : Leh to Nubra Valley (126 Kms / Aprx. 05 Hrs)
After an early breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung la pass (the highest motor able road in the world) at 18,390 ft, around 39kms from Leh. Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldumra or valley of flowers. It is situated to the North of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. Visit Sumoor, another pretty village on the other side of the river. Samstanling monastery or Gompa is one of the 15 big monasteries of Ladakh founded by Lama Tsultrim Nima who also founded the Rizong Monastery. Night stay at Nubra Valley.
Day 11 : Nubra Valley – Leh
After your breakfast, visit the DISKIT monastery situated on a hill overlooking the entire Nubra Valley and have see the biggest Maitreya Buddha’s Statue below the Monastery and later drive to Sand dunes enjoy a camel safari (Optional). Drive back to Leh and afternoon rest and relax or take a walk to the local market. Night stay at hotel.
Day 12 : Depart Leh
Tour concludes. Transfer to Domestic Airport to catch the flight for your onward Destination.
